An IT consultancy

Eight products, one set of processes

Sales, finance, delivery, recruitment and employee administration each in their own place, with no view across them. Now eight Zoho products configured as one set of processes, from lead to opportunity to project to timesheet.

What changed

  • Lead to opportunity to project delivery as one chain, not three handovers
  • Recruitment, attendance, performance, leave, timesheets and travel on one employee record
  • Approvals, validations and role-based access set once and applied across every process
  • Dashboards that read across sales, finance, delivery and people

Leads, candidates and employees feed a Zoho platform where CRM and Marketing Automation handle sales, Books the finance, Projects the delivery, Recruit and People the employee cycle, and Desk the support, reporting through Analytics.

Where they started

A consultancy managing sales, financial transactions, project delivery, resource allocation, recruitment, attendance, performance, leave, timesheets and employee travel as separate processes. Each worked on its own terms, and anything that crossed two of them — a project’s profitability, a consultant’s utilisation — had to be assembled by hand.

What we built

Eight Zoho products configured as one set of processes rather than eight installations. Sales automation in CRM feeds delivery in Projects; Books carries the financial side; Recruit, People and Payroll run the employee cycle from a requisition through to attendance, performance, leave and travel.

The work that made it hold together was not the products but the configuration between them: workflows, approvals, validations, role-based access, notifications and reporting defined once and applied consistently, so a process that crosses departments does not change shape as it goes.
