What changed
- The whole process is visible end to end, from lead creation to project progress
- Projects are assigned to internal users automatically once invoicing completes
- Milestones and tasks are tracked against the deal they came from
Where they started
Selling and delivering were two processes with a meeting between them. A deal would close, and what had been agreed was then retold to the people who had to build it. Nothing was lost dramatically, but scope was reconstructed rather than carried, and once delivery started there was no single place to see how far along it was.
What we built
The full chain in Zoho CRM: lead creation, deal management, sales order and invoice. When the invoice process completes, the project is assigned to the responsible internal users, and milestones and tasks are created to manage execution.
The point is not the automation so much as the continuity — the project is attached to the deal it came from, so progress is read against what was actually sold.
